In my life, as a newly arrived migrant in Australia, I had to overcome many barriers: having to re-establish myself personally and professionally, find a sense of connection and meaning in a society culturally different to where I grew up.
Now over a quarter of a century later I can say that I embraced that challenge and it helped me develop my cross-cultural lens allowing me multiple facets of different interpretations and diversifying perspectives. This is what I greatly cherish.
